Big News

I am excited to announce I will be starting as the Executive Pastor at Fusion Church on Monday April 21st. I'll be working at the church offices Monday and Tuesday every week and my role on Sunday's will be changing as well.

I can't begin to explain how humbled, honored, intimidated and jacked up I am about this.

The more involved I've gotten with serving and leading at the church, the more I've felt like this is where I am supposed to be. At first it seemed like a foolish dream, then someone else confirms it, then I had to sit on it, pray and see if it goes away. I really feel like God has been doing a lot of "stuff" with me over the past few months in some semblance of preparation. I think this is kind of like having kids in some sense, you'll never really be ready. I remember Pastor Tony asking me if my bones were on fire a couple of different times during this period. The point was that if you were being called to the ministry, it wasn't something you can ignore. The first time he asked me, the answer was a no, almost like that's crazy talk. Around the end of last year, things were definitely heating up. I was not able to sleep well for weeks at a time, my mind was racing, I was praying like crazy, it was on. Tony asked me the question again, knowing the answer was yes, it was just a matter of, how can we make this work, really, how is God going to make this work? God's timing is, as always, perfect. At times during the past few months I wasn't sure if this was going to happen at all, I've had a lot of crazy stuff going on at my company as well. Looking back now it's easy to see how the chain of events leading up to this moment string together correctly and a hundred different not so good outcomes could have happened.

I am blessed to have this opportunity and am really looking forward to working with the rest of the staff at Fusion. I can't wait to start using my talents to further the Kingdom of God.

Woohoo! Ren told me about this on the way to work this morning. It's a role I've personally hoped would get filled for some time, and one at which I know you'll excel. Awesome! Thanks for stepping up.
